The aim

Arm lift, also called brachioplasty, reshapes the inner portion of arms, removing the skin and/or fat from the region between underarm and the elbow.

Your surgery

The surgery is done under general or local anesthesia with sedation, depending of the quantity of tissue to be removed. It can be done through the small incision hidden in one of the underarm folds, or when there is necessity it can be extended to the inner elbow. We perform minimal scar arm lift always when it is possible. The surgery can be combined with liposuction.

The procedure requires one to two nights stay in hospital.

Your recovery

Patients will experience swelling, bruising and soreness in the arm and are advised to use bandages in weeks following the surgery. Sutures are removed in two to three weeks, but swelling will take three to six months to disappear depending of the procedure. Scars fade by the time. Normally, patients can return to work after one week following the surgery.
