The Aim

Calf implants surgery, also called calf augmentation, is surgery that, enhancing the appearance of the calves, gives more harmonious look to the legs and whole body.
 

Your Surgery

The surgery is done under general or peridural anesthetics and requires overnight stay in the hospital.

The Procedure

Specially designed soft silicone implants are inserted through the small incision in the back of the knee. The implant is placed in the pocket between the calf muscle and it`s fascia. The incision is sutured and special compressive socks are put on after the surgery. Soreness and swelling can be experienced in immediate pos-operative period. Women are advised to use small cubed heels while men can insert some pads inside the shoes in first two weeks. That helps to lift the calf off the floor and decrease the discomfort.

Your Recovery

Patients are advised to use compressive socks few weeks after the surgery. You may go back to work two weeks after the surgery.
